Before ordering...
Please take a few moments before placing your
order to read the following information. It is meant to help answer any
questions you may have, and to provide you with a clear picture of what
to expect from your
H O R S E - T R I B E website shopping experience.
Customer
Service
I appreciate your business and want you to be as happy purchasing,
wearing or giving my work as I am making it. If you have a good
experience, please tell your friends and family. If you are not happy
for whatever reason, please let me know. I am a one-person studio
business, so I handle most everything from jewelry design and
fabrication to packing, shipping and doing the books. If you have any
questions, or concerns or suggestions about anything, I’m the one to
contact. Don’t hesitate to call or email:

Ordering
Custom Work
I welcome the opportunities to create one-of-a-kind custom jewelry.
This process begins with a phone or email dialog about concept, design,
pricing and delivery schedule. Once these details are agreed upon, and
a payment of half the projected cost is received, the project
begins. The balance is due upon completion prior to delivery.
Please note that the precious metal market fluctuates, usually upwards,
and that when costs increase, it will be reflected in the final
pricing.
Many of the pieces you see pictured on my site can be readily
customized. Hand stamped words or phrases can be changed or added, you
can specify the color palette, the kind of clasp used or the size or
length... so if you see something you like “except I want it with...”
it probably can be done. Just ask.
Custom Horse Hair
Projects
In
the case of custom horse hair projects, please plan on washing and
sorting the hair before sending. ‘Sorting’ is making certain that the
bundle of hair is of a somewhat uniform length by pulling out all the
hairs that are too short. (Yes, it’s tedious work!) If hair is sent in
needing preparation, there will be an additional $10.00 charge. A
phone or email dialog is where we begin, to determine how much hair and
how long of hair is required. Bracelets and necklets are typically made
with tail hair because it is longer and coarser, and tassels with mane
hair, because it is often shorter and softer. That said, I can usually
work with whatever hair is provided.

Please note: All these pieces
are individually hand made, and no two are ever exactly alike. That's a
good thing! I am always happy to make a piece very much like one I've
made before, but understand that it is the nature of hand fabrication
and natural materials that they each carry their own unique qualities.
